New Production Manager brings extensive experience from the marine pump industry

On August 1, 2025, André Jelstrup assumed the position as Production Manager at Svanehøj, where he will lead more than 100 dedicated Pump Professionals in shaping the future of maritime manufacturing.

In recent years, Svanehøj has invested heavily in new technology, automation, and capacity expansion to meet the growing demand for fuel and cargo pump solutions for liquefied gas and the carbon-neutral fuels of the future.

To strengthen its focus on continuous improvement, efficiency, and operational excellence, Svanehøj has welcomed André Jelstrup as the new Production Manager. He comes from a similar position at the assistive technology company Liftup and brings more than 20 years of maritime industry experience from Desmi, where he spent his last six years as Factory Manager.

At Svanehøj, André Jelstrup will be responsible for driving leadership across the daily production operations during an exciting phase of transformation.

“In the past six months, we have welcomed more than 30 new colleagues in our production and will need even more in the near future. It’s a huge task to integrate so many new people while at the same time handling a fast-growing order backlog and introducing new products. This is where André’s solid and broad leadership experience – and not least his deep knowledge of the maritime sector – will be of great value to us,” says Thomas Severinsen, Head of Operations at Svanehøj Denmark.

The production department at Svanehøj has undergone extensive modernization to reflect the company’s ambition to be world-class in every aspect of work. It’s a concept that aligns well with André Jelstrup’s leadership philosophy.

As Production Manager, André Jelstrup takes over from Mikkel Bülow Bundgaard Sørensen, who after four successful years at Svanehøj has moved on to new opportunities beyond the company.
