Svanehoj marked Earth Day by turning awareness into action
From local clean-up efforts and reuse initiatives to knowledge sharing across sites, ITT Green Day is an opportunity to turn awareness into practical action — and to highlight how small choices can contribute to a larger impact.
In April, as part of ITT Green Day, colleagues from Svanehoj sites around the world joined forces to support practical environmental initiatives.
At the headquarters in Denmark, focus was on making sustainability tangible in everyday routines. Small but effective reminders were placed around the office, highlighting topics such as paper consumption, water usage, and waste. Employees were encouraged to make conscious choices, from biking or carpooling to work to reducing everyday resource use.
We set up waste collection stations to make it easy for everyone to help with local clean-up efforts. All week, a swap box let people give items a second life, encouraging reuse instead of throwing things away. Anything left over was donated to charity. As the perfect finishing touch, we treated everyone to vegan ice cream.
Meanwhile, the Singapore office held a sustainability session with a guest expert. Teams in other locations joined in global activities and friendly competitions, all showing our shared commitment to reducing our environmental impact.
These efforts show Svanehoj’s commitment to ESG goals and the green transition. We aim to make a difference not just with our technology, but also in our everyday lives.
