Svanehøj wins two pump orders for Black Sea offshore gas project

Decades of offshore experience and a superior product range come into play as Svanehøj’s businesses in Denmark and Singapore have been awarded contracts for the conversion of a 300-meter-long offshore vessel into a Floating Production Unit (FPU) for a major natural gas development in the Black Sea region.

The project is part of a large-scale national initiative in Turkey to expand domestic gas production and reduce reliance on energy imports. At the core of the expansion is the conversion of an offshore support vessel into a state-of-the-art processing unit with the capacity to handle up to 10 million m³ of natural gas per day.

Svanehøj has been selected to supply both deepwell cargo pumps and a range of auxiliary pumps for the FPU. The Danish business will deliver a customized package of 12

Svanehøj’s deepwell OPC pumps are ATEX certified, API 610 compliant, and engineered for a Mean Time Between Repairs (MTBR) of 25,000 hours. The all-electric design offers a cleaner, more efficient alternative to hydraulic systems, with reduced fuel consumption, lower noise and vibration levels, and simplified maintenance.
