The newly established Svanehøj Tank Control Systems is beginning to take shape: Meet Sylvain Richard, who will be shaping the future as the Sales Manager for LPG projects.

Svanehøj has established a new business for land-based activities in France following the acquisition of Wärtsilä Tank Control Systems.

One of the 'new old faces' is Sylvain Richard, Sales Manager for LPG projects at Svanehøj Tank Control Systems. His job is to aid customers in finding the most suitable solutions for safety systems inside LPG storage. This includes products such as emergency valves, hydraulic control units, and level and alarm probes.

A different kind of mindset

Sylvain worked at Wärtsilä for 16 months prior to the acquisition. For him, the biggest difference is a new organizational structure that makes it easier to get in touch with the colleagues responsible for specific areas. Thus, ensuring a smooth collaboration throughout the company. Additionally, he perceives the new structure to be important for the company’s future growth.

- Now there is a different kind of mindset. The vision and mission are fully adapted throughout the company, which will help us to grow our business, explains Sylvain Richard.

Furthermore, Sylvain elaborates that there is a new focus in the company to act faster on orders and new customers looking for LPG safety solutions.

- We are always able to get in contact with the management. That is especially important when we are visiting our customers and analyzing their requirements to find the right solutions. Then we must act fast and present the customer with a suitable offer, says Sylvain Richard.

Exiting future ahead

Sylvain has great expectations for the future as a part of Svanehøj. He finds that the technical know-how and the high level of innovation at Svanehøj help to create a highly motivating and exciting workplace in Calais.

- Svanehøj has an innovative mindset and people are eager to always learn and be on the front foot inside the industry. I have a great interest in innovative technical products, so I am really excited about the future and look forward to being part of the journey at Svanehøj, says Sylvain Richard.
