ESG Report 2022: Svanehøj fuel pumps will help save 38.8m tons CO₂

In Svanehøj, we proudly say that we have the expertise, the solutions, and the potential to contribute to the green energy transition in the maritime sector. Now, we also have the data to show that we are already making a significant difference today.

As part of our ESG reporting, we have conducted a Product Impact Assessment to calculate the contribution to decarbonization from our DW Fuel Pumps for LNG. Vessels ordered in 2022 with Svanehøj DW Fuel Pumps are expected to achieve an overall lifetime (25 years) saving of 38.8M tons of CO₂ compared to similar vessels with HFO propulsion. It corresponds to more than half of Denmark's annual consumption-based CO₂ emissions.
