Svanehoj to deliver tank safety solution for LPG storage project in Algeria

Svanehoj has secured a significant tank control system order in Algeria. This project, for the end user Naftal, reinforces Svanehoj's reputation as a trusted supplier of hydraulic emergency shut-off systems for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the region.

Naftal is Algeria’s national company responsible for the distribution and marketing of petroleum products and LPG. Across the country, it manages an extensive network of storage terminals and LPG distribution facilities and plays a crucial role in ensuring the country’s domestic energy supply.

For this project, Svanehoj will provide a comprehensive package that includes hydraulic control panels along with a complete set of hydraulic emergency shut-off valves and their corresponding line housings in various sizes. The order includes a substantial quantity of valves and panels, reflecting the scale and importance of this installation for Naftal's operations.

The contract was awarded by the EPC contractor CNTIC / Genertec from China and was secured through Svanehoj’s long-term partner, Key On Gas Equipment Ltd., based in Hong Kong. With over 30 years of experience in the LPG industry, Key On Gas has been instrumental in facilitating global collaboration between Svanehoj and Chinese EPC contractors on numerous projects.

Together, Svanehoj and Key On Gas have delivered various safety systems for underground LPG storage in China and internationally.
