“Being at Svanehoj inspires new goals for me to achieve”

Meet Khelaf Bensafia, our Head of Projects at Svanehoj Tank Control Systems (TCS) in Calais, France.

 

Khelaf Bensafia joined Svanehoj in 2023, holding a dual education with a master’s degree in technical instrumentation engineering and commercial project management. This unique combination allows him to support customers comprehensively, addressing both a technical as well as a commercial side in meeting customer needs and enhancing the safety in liquified gas storage.

Since acquiring the former Whessoe instrumentation branch in Calais from Wärtsilä in 2021 and establishing the Svanehoj TCS subsidiary, Svanehøj has focused on attracting a diverse range of individuals with different competencies, bringing advanced technical expertise to the region and enhancing the industrial landscape.
According to Khelaf, the effects of having a diverse workforce are clear.

- During my time at Svanehoj, I have grown and learned extensively, both professionally and personally. Being here has inspired new goals for me to achieve and it’s rewarding to work in such a customer-oriented environment in a highly technical field, he says.

Khelaf further emphasizes the importance of Svanehoj’s open and collaborative culture. To him, having so many various professions represented in Calais fosters continuous interactions that allow for discovering different roles, broadening one's skill set and swiftly meeting customer specifications.
