With the CS (Cryogenic Submerged) Fuel Pump, Svanehøj addresses the primary issues associated with submerged LNG pumps: How to prevent pump clogging from impurities in the LNG and how to reduce the risk of boil-off gas caused by extensive heat generation.
A unique, patented LNG filter eliminates the risk of clogging. The self-cleaning filter and the high flow around it enable the efficient removal of harmful particles, resulting in less wear and tear, longer service intervals, and maximum uptime.
An Interior Permanent Magnet (IPM) e-motor reduces the risk of boil-off gas. The IPM e-motor performs with an efficiency of 96.7% – much higher than the industry standard of 84-88%. Because of the higher efficiency, the motor consumes less energy. It also generates less heat, reducing the risk of boil-off gas, dry running of bearings, and significant damage.
