NMB Booster Pumps

NMB Booster Pump

SVANEHØJ’s NMB Booster pump for lighter liquid gases.

Typical applications NMB Booster Pump

The NMB series of pumps acts as boosters, to increase discharging pressure when offloading lighter cargoes, i.e. low specific gravity cargoes.

Capacity: 150 -1000 m3/h

Benefits
The NMB series of pumps have stainless steel metallic parts in contact with the cargoes, self-actuating pressure setting of the shaft sealing system, easy accessible shaft bearings and sealings, and heavy duty flexible coupling connected to the e-motor.

Unique leakage protection system

SVANEHØJ’s unique automatic pressurised shaft sealing system is designed for maximum sealing security and protection against leakages.

The system features a double mechanical seal and a pressure booster where the sealing oil is put under pressure both by the cargo tank and the spring, thus avoiding any adjustments by the crew.

This ensures that the sealing chamber pressure is always higher than the cargo tank pressure for maximum protection against cargo leakages.

DW Fuel (Marine) Pumps

Well-proven SVANEHØJ technology downsized in DW fuel (Marine) pump

DW Fuel (Marine) pump

At SVANEHØJ we know the importance of proven reliability in the market. That is why we developed the DW fuel pump, taking our well-proven and renowned DW Cargo (Gas) pump and downsized it for fuel gas systems.

With the reliable DW fuel pump from SVANEHØJ, you get the well-proven technology and design from our DW Cargo (Gas) pumps, which are installed in more than 1100 gas cargo carriers around the world.

All the benefits of the larger gas pumps have been retained in the DW fuel pump, ensuring both stability, optimised performance, high reliability, and long service intervals.

DW Fuel (Marine) Pump

The DW fuel pump is a classic multistage centrifugal pump made of cryogenic stainless steel with a standard zone 1 marine motor.

Because the pump’s electric motor is located outside the fuel tank, it eliminates the excess heat and pressure which may otherwise result in a significant energy loss when motors are located inside the fuel tank. Thanks to the unique DW design, the energy and fuel consumption are continuously optimised.

Reliable and optimised efficiency

The DW fuel (Marine) pump from SVANEHØJ is a reliable pump developed in close collaboration with experienced designers of fuel gas systems to support environmentally-friendly LNG-powered engines. The pump, which is also usable with other fuel types such as ethane and LPG, is designed to provide a steady, reliable fuel gas supply with a fast response to changes in engine load, ensuring optimum efficiency.

A fuel pump is independent of weather conditions, sloshing, and thermal conditions – to mention just a few of the numerous benefits.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need advice on solutions relating to LNG fuel pumps, ethane fuel pumps or LPG fuel pumps.

DW Fuel Pump

Because the pump’s electric motor is located outside the fuel tank, it eliminates excess heat and pressure which may otherwise result in significant energy loss when motors are located inside the fuel tank. The DW Fuel (Marine) pump from SVANEHØJ is a reliable pump, developed in close collaboration with designers of fuel gas systems in order to support environmentally friendly LNG-fuelled engines. The electric marine fuel pump, which can also be used with fuels other than LNG, such as ethane and LPG, has been designed to safeguard a steady, reliable fuel gas supply with fast responses to changes in engine load, ensuring optimised efficiency.

Five-year service interval

The SVANEHØJ DW Fuel (Marine) pump is based on proven technology which has been used on gas carriers for decades. It is designed as a hermetically sealed pump without any sophisticated bearings or exotic materials, using standard ball bearings that ensure a long service life. Its service intervals are every 25,000 operating hours, or every five years.

If needed, the motor, bearing, and pump can be easily accessed at any time between regular service dockings – even with gas pressure in the tank. This means that the electric motor, magnetic drive, main bearing, and inner mag drive can be accessed and serviced. Moreover, by activating the foot valve, the pump can be retracted in handy sections of less than one metre, providing unique service possibilities.

Product highlights

  • Independent of weather conditions, sloshing, and thermal conditions
  • No tank connections below liquid level and no electrical components inside the tank
  • Steady, reliable supply of fuel
  • Fast response to changes in engine load
  • No gas leakage from the tank
  • Dual fuel function: The pump can be used with LNG and with other fuel types, such as ethane and LPG
  • Pump can be retracted, even with gas in the tank
  • Minimised contribution to boil-off gas
