Svanehøj and Soudotec team up to enhance LPG safety in West Africa
With African LPG infrastructure set for rapid expansion in the coming years, we are proud to announce a product distribution partnership with Soudotec, a fluid control expert with deep insights into the local markets of West Africa.
Today, hundreds of millions of people in Africa rely on firewood, charcoal, or agricultural waste for cooking. This widespread reliance on biomass results in severe health and environmental problems.
The African Refiners & Distributors Association (ARDA) is committed to improving public health and safety and has set an ambitious goal of transitioning over 400 million Africans to LPG by 2030.
As part of the new partnership, Soudotec will distribute Svanehøj hydraulic emergency shut-off valves, hydraulic control panels, and mechanical gauges. Additionally, they will provide technical support, conduct maintenance, and train onsite staff in the operation of Svanehøj’s Whessoe products and related equipment.
Burning biomass in open fires or inefficient stoves releases harmful pollutants that cause serious respiratory illnesses. Eliminating this health hazard is critical, and at Svanehøj, we are excited to work alongside Soudotec to enhance the safety of storage and distribution facilities within Africa's growing LPG sector.
