Another successful year comes to an end

By Søren Kringelholt Nielsen, CEO, Svanehoj

As we close an exciting year, we can look back on strategic acquisitions, global expansion, major orders across our core markets, new product launches, and the milestone of welcoming our 500th colleague.

2025 has been a truly significant year for Svanehoj and a clear testament to how becoming part of ITT has empowered us to move faster, grow stronger, and pursue new opportunities.

As part of our long-term strategy, we have strengthened our organization and welcomed new capabilities into the Svanehoj family. In January, we acquired European Pump Services (EPS) in the Netherlands, securing a strong foundation in one of Europe's most important maritime and energy markets. In September, KOHO Kompressorsysteme in Germany joined us. This acquisition is an essential strategic step into the gas segment and expands our portfolio to include reciprocating compressor systems and related spare parts.

Innovating at full speed for a better future

As in previous years, product development remained a key driver for us in 2025. This summer, we launched the NCM Pump, the most compact, efficient, and lightweight marine engine room pump available. With its simplified design and a focused portfolio of just 16 variants, the new series represents a complete relaunch of our engine room pump program and a genuine step-change in operational efficiency for our customers.

Our tank control systems division has made considerable progress this year. The development of a new, unique LTD sensor, together with our in-house calibration lab, enables us to deliver even stronger safety solutions to our customers in the energy storage sector. Efficiency and safety are cornerstones of modern energy infrastructure. At Svanehoj, we continue to deliver cutting-edge technology for liquefied gas storage both onshore and offshore.

In line with our ESG strategy, we allocate at least 95% of our R&D spending to solutions that advance the energy transition. As demand for cryogenic gas handling grows, we have expanded both our product offering and our testing capabilities in Denmark. Our facilities now allow us to conduct in-house class approval tests for both high-pressure and low-pressure cryogenic pumps. By using liquid nitrogen at -196 °C, we can create an environment that resembles real-life conditions at sea and push our pumps to the very limits.

Milestone projects shaping our strategic growth

2025 has been a year rich in high-impact wins, with strategic project highlights across LNG, ethane, ammonia, and CO₂.

Among the most significant is the INEOS-driven Greensand Future project, which paves the way for Denmark to become a European leader in CCS. We are proud to contribute to this pioneering project with our patented deepwell CO₂ pumps for both the LCO₂ carrier "Carbon Destroyer 1" and the onshore terminal in Port Esbjerg. More than 30 years after supplying our first LCO₂ cargo pump, Svanehoj remains at the forefront of technologies shaping the future of CCS.

Over the years, we have taken major technological steps in developing deepwell pump systems for the ocean-going Very Large Ethane Carriers (VLECs) and LNG Carriers. Long-shafted pumps with large capacities that work efficiently at extremely low temperatures. Now, the pumps are getting even bigger, as we received an order this year to equip two Ultra Large Ethane Carriers (ULECs). This achievement underscores continued confidence in our patented Svanehoj DW Pump as the preferred solution for ships in this segment.

Speaking of scale: A few months ago, we also commenced production of the largest cryogenic pump in our company's history, tailored for LPG/ammonia. This landmark order marks a strategic breakthrough for us in the U.S. onshore market. Moreover, it demonstrates our ability to adapt decades of marine pump expertise to complex onshore applications.

Another highlight in 2025 was the first retrofit installation of our newly developed CS Fuel Pump for LNG. Working closely with Kongsberg Maritime, we replaced the fuel pumps on a passenger ship that had faced challenges with its previous pump solution from another manufacturer. This achievement reinforces customer confidence in Svanehoj's technology and our role as a trusted partner for critical LNG fuel systems.

Growing rapidly and with purpose

The continued strong demand for Svanehoj's solutions and services has driven steady workforce expansion. From just over 300 employees in 2022 to more than 550 today, our company has grown rapidly and with purpose.

Earlier this year, we marked the hiring of our 500th employee. Since then, we have welcomed an additional 40 colleagues through the integration of KOHO into Svanehoj.

Growth, however, is not just about numbers. Each employee at Svanehoj strengthens our commitment to driving the energy transition forward, sharing a passion that fuels our mission to power a better future.

I want to extend my sincere thanks to all employees, customers, and partners, and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
